Location

Tokyo’s more famous neighborhoods often overshadow Komaba-Tōdaimae, but it offers a unique glimpse into Tokyo's quieter, more traditional side.

Komaba-Tōdaimae, located in Meguro Ward, is a peaceful and academic neighborhood known for its proximity to the University of Tokyo’s Komaba Campus. The area offers a serene atmosphere with lush greenery, including Komaba Park and the Komaba Campus Botanical Garden.

Residents enjoy nearby cultural spots like the Japan Folk Crafts Museum and the Former Maeda Residence. Despite its tranquil vibe, Komaba-Tōdaimae is just 2 minutes by train or a 20-minute walk from the bustling heart of Shibuya, offering quick access to shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Its quiet charm, excellent schools, and convenient transport links make it ideal for families, students, and professionals.

Tip

CraftFlat Asakusa House

The house is easy to find in the map. It is newly renovated, well decorated and very beautiful in traditional japanese style. The house is spacious and very clean. Many appliances are well prepared and ready to use. It takes about 15 mins walk (800-900 m) to Oshiage Skytree station. Sumida river is nearby. It’s good to walk by the river in the morning. Asakusa station is in walkable distance.
There are many house rules and house manual to read before staying. You have to seperate trash. But once you actually stay in, it's not that difficult. We enjoyed staying here and had good sleep every night. Very recommended for who have no walking problem.
